Benefits of gym fitness

The core benefit of gym fitness is to use extremely low trial and error costs to simultaneously achieve triple positive benefits of improving physical fitness, releasing emotional stress, and rebuilding life patterns, and the stability of the benefits is much higher than that of most self-improvement paths.

Benefits of gym fitness

I first followed the trend and practiced at home, watching short videos and doing Pamela and practicing home strength. However, within two weeks, my waist broke due to incorrect deadlift posture. I spent a small 2,000 yuan to go to the physical therapy department. I was so distressed that I directly applied for an annual pass to the gym downstairs. Because of my waist injury, they directly helped me prepay for two years of fitness fees. It was terrible.

Don’t tell me, only after entering the gym did I realize how outrageous it was to practice blindly at home. The trajectories of the fixed equipment are all designed, and even if you have a slight flaw in your movements, there will be no big problems. My rotator cuff was weak at the time, so the coach first asked me to use a fixed sitting posture to push my shoulders to find a sense of strength. After practicing for half a month, my shoulders, which had been painful after sitting at the desk for a long time, actually felt a lot better. Of course, I also know that many people say that "you can do weight training at home." This is true. I have a friend who doesn't even use dumbbells. He does pull-ups and single-leg squats at home every day. He has developed four-pack abs in two years and keeps his body fat below 15% year-round. But you know Dao said that since he is a freelancer, he can spare two hours a day to study movements, and he can also keep his mouth shut and eat fitness meals. For most people who work from 9 to 5 and occasionally work overtime, this execution threshold is really much higher than stopping by the gym to practice for 40 minutes after get off work.

I never thought that the gym could cure my anxiety. I used to sit on the sofa and watch short videos as soon as I got home from get off work. I couldn’t bear to sleep until early in the morning. The more I watched, the more I felt like I had done nothing. My mind was filled with plans to be handed in the next day and messages that the boss had not responded to. The more I thought about it, the more I couldn’t sleep. Now I regularly go to the gym four days a week, and I don’t have time to think about anything else when I’m training. When you’re doing deadlifts, all you can think about is “tighten your core and don’t slump your waist.” During the rest between sets, you’re panting like a dog, and you don’t even have the energy to check your phone. After practice, I take a hot shower and go out to enjoy the wind, and I almost forget about all the bad things. By the way, I was afraid of being in the gym before, but when I went there I found that no one cared about how well you were doing. Everyone was staring at their own weight and panting. Last time I squatted until I was exhausted and sat on the ground. The big brother next to me handed me a bottle of water and reminded me not to buckle my knees in next time. We haven’t added WeChat yet. We just nodded every time we met, and occasionally put hands on each other to protect each other. This kind of pressure-free companionship on the same frequency is really 10,000 times more comfortable than forced social interactions.

Damn, when it comes to this, someone must mention the old joke that "not applying for a card is equivalent to an IQ tax." I have heard this saying too many times. When I first applied for the card, my mother also said that I spent money indiscriminately. Isn't it different for you to go jogging in the park downstairs? It's really different. I originally planned to go for a run in the park last Saturday, but it rained heavily. After lying at home all day, I became more and more tired. If it were normal, I would go directly to the gym. The constant temperature is 25 degrees, so I can't get wet or dry. I can move after changing clothes. Besides, if you don’t apply for a card, that’s a human problem. If you buy a cabinet full of books and don’t read them, you can’t say that the books are an IQ tax, right? The friends around me who insist on going have changed more or less. Some have lowered their high blood pressure, some have lost their fatty liver, and some, like me, used to be out of breath when climbing the third floor, but now they can run hundreds of meters to catch the subway or catch the bus without being out of breath.

Of course, that’s not to say that the gym is all good. During peak hours, around seven or eight o’clock in the evening, the aerobic area is really crowded, and you have to wait for the treadmill, so you can go during off-peak hours. Now I sometimes go out half an hour early in the morning and go to the gym to practice strength for 20 minutes before going to work. There are not many people in the whole gym, and the equipment can be used casually, which is very fun. Some people think that hiring a coach is expensive. Who told you to buy private lessons as soon as you go there? If you don’t want to spend money, there are so many free teaching videos on the Internet, and if you slowly ponder over the fixed equipment, as long as you don’t rush heavy weights blindly, there will be no problems at all. There are many veterans around me who have never bought a private training class. After practicing for three to five years, they are in better shape than many coaches.

After training my buttocks and legs yesterday, my legs were so weak that I almost fell down when I went downstairs. The aunt selling sausages at the door laughed at me and said, is the little girl going to train her legs again? I walked on the road chewing sausages and holding an iced American. When the wind blew, I felt light and airy all over. There are so many advantages of being tall. To put it bluntly, it is just spending a little money to buy an hour of free time and make myself feel better. It is better than anything else.
